This Week in History

On August 23, 2005 Green Day performed at Philips Arena along with fellow punk rockers Jimmy Eat World on the 2005 American Idiot Tour. American Idiot is the seventh studio tour for Green Day which was produced as a rock opera inspired by the work of The Who following the life of "Jesus of Suburbia"

This Week in History

On August 21, 2004 the Rolling Thunder Monster Truck Challenge rolled in to Philips Arena for 2 shows. It was all you can expect and more from pit passes, to drivers signing autographs, to the rumbling of the monster trucks! Rolling Thunder Monster Truck Challenge, now owned by AMP Tour is a series of monster truck shows that perform mostly in venues of all sizes bringing monstrous 10,000 pound, 10" tall, 2,000+ horsepower masters of destruction. Tom Petty at Philips Arena
