In the tradition of rock-n-roll, Philips Arena hosted Aerosmith on January 15,
2006. This tour was billed as the “Route of all Evil Tour” marking the first time Aerosmith along with Motley Crue...the “bad boy’s of rock” have toured together with all original band members. With an intimate stage setting allowing for an up-close and personal feel at Philips Arena Steve Tyler performed a 75 minute set including classic hits such as Dude Looks Like a Lady, Jaded, Dream On, and Rag Doll, finally performing an Encore to the all time favorite Walk This Way.

This Week in History

Ringing in the New Year at Philips Arena has become a tradition for music lovers of all kind! Traditionally Philips Arena hosts Widespread Panic on New Year’s Eve, however to ring in 2009 we stepped over to the ever hot ATL Hip Hop scene with Lil Wayne, T-Paine, Keisha Cole, and friends. In the past Philips Arena has also hosted the HollaDay Jam on January 1, of 2006 along with the 17 sell outs of Widespread Panic. Happy New Year from Philips Arena!
