Today’s Tuesday Tunes is one of Neil Diamond’s classic hits, “Sweet Caroline.” Caroline Kennedy was the inspiration behind this famous song, which Neil Diamond revealed to Caroline on her 50th birthday in 2007. He wrote the song a few years after seeing a photo of the president’s daughter in her riding gear standing next to her pony. Diamond said, “It was such an innocent, wonderful picture, I immediately felt there was a song in there.”

When this first came out years ago, I thought it was about a trendy modern preacher called Reverend Blue Jeans, I was always mishearing lyrics and coming up with a completely different yet plausible idea of what a song was about.
