This Week in History




From May 2-5, 2002, Philips Arena hosted Dragon Tales Live family show. This educational spectacle geared towards toddlers reinforced the themes of friendship and fun that are often featured in the PBS Kids Show. Dragon Tales is an animated television series set in a fantasy land of dragons. The energetic personalities of Max, Emmy, and their bilingual friend Enrique, have enhanced the show’s following. Teachers and parents alike rave about the positive message this program portrays and the important underlying themes of collaboration, imagination, and open-mindedness.

This Week in HIstory


Rockers Aerosmith, or “The Bad Boys from Boston” lit up the stage on April 9, 2004. This “Honkin’ on Bobo Tour” of 2004 sent Aerosmith to select markets in the US and Japan. Aerosmith is the best selling American hard rock band of all time, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001! Even after thirty eight years of success, band members Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford, and Joey Kramer continue to record hits and perform tours.

Fellow “Yankee” rocker Bon Jovi will be appearing in his “Lost Highway” tour, stopping in Atlanta on April 30 and May 1. Joining Bon Jovi on his tour is American Idol Finalist Chris Daughtry. Headlines Bar and Grill Chicken Tender Recipe

Chicken Tenderloin
Buttermilk
Flour
Egg
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder


Preparation

Remove connective tendon from chicken tender
Whisk Egg and buttermilk together until smooth
Mix dry ingredients together

Soak chicken tender in Egg and Buttermilk mixture
Dredge Chicken tender in Flour mixture
Fry at 350 degrees for 4 minutes until golden brown
Remove chicken tender from oil and let drain on paper towel to absorb excess grease
Season with salt and pepper
Serve with sauce of choice
