On August 3, 2003 the Dixie Chicks performed at Philips Arena during their overly contrivirsial Top of the World Tour. Yes fans, this is the same tour that kicked off in Europe earlier in 2003 with a specific incdent taking place on stage in Lodon. During the London show singer Natalie Maines stated ''We're ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas.'' Following this tour the band's next album included single "Not REady to Make Nice" which directly addresses the fallout from the "big Bush bash" on the previous tour.
